Quote from N I K I :what are you all whining about, XRR won MoE 2007/2008 (when also everyone thought FZR is much faster, and in fact real stats showed that XRR even had better pace in like 24h race, not just westhill), and it's same situation here. It just takes awesome drivers to win with it
XRR will have much quicker pit stop here and has better pace at start too, and it's not even driven by uber drivers as far as i've seen, so qualy times aren't all
and i bet nolan did this time on end of a stint
I sow duck doing mid 29's with new tires in XRR!

FZR should definately have 27% restriction, and the XRR do have some quick drivers in them. Nolan and I were testing the XRR before and didn't get anywhere near a 29, then as soon as we try FZR, easy 29s...

Quote from evilpimp ::P I'm down to consistent 49.6's. I think I MIGHT be able to break into 48s in a suicidal lap...

Let me embarass you.

Its easily possible to do low 48s and high-mid 47s (if your alien) with the rookie solstice, correct?

Quote from evilpimp :And you picked the advanced solstice, which is why you're never racing me. Look, you chose the solstice challenge, which is the same for both rookie or advance, then you chose your car. In my case I have the Pontiac Solstice - Rookie.

Down to 49.6..

No, there is a seperate series for the advanced solstice, except they don't run it since the Spec Racer came out. You are never in my race becasue I'm in the faster server and your in the slower one.

Taha, you don't seem to get it. Everyone that drives the rookie solstice drives the same setup no matter what license they are. You have to picked the advanced solstice to change the setup.

Quote from evilpimp :Same A 50.2 but I was going to get a high to mid 49 and ruined it at that long left hander after the corkscrew heh. I might be able to beat it today heh.

My best so far is a 1.47.8xx.

Quote from Ramses :It isn't. Its a service we provided to NDR.

They are guest on the server. They do what we sppecificly allow them to do.

We can allow or disallow whatever we want. It's not like MSN. It's not a public service.

The internet is a public place, what you say and do on the internet is in public. Your Ventrilo server is on the internet. This makes it a public place.

Quote from wild :I'm trying not to post too much regarding the voice chat recording, but I'm going to make a post about your statement.

Yes I agree that could be looked at it from that way. It can also be looked at it from this way also; How were we supposed to turn it off before the race if we didn't know that he was recording us?

Why wouldn't you of turned it off if you never wanted to be recorded? Someone could be recording you at any time!

Quote from SmegFirk :You have never said that I cannot come along to your house and steal your car, therefore I am on my way.

That is exactly the same principle you are attempting to apply, it's a fallacy.

Not the same at all, his car is an object which he owns, and is not for public use. What you speak through the internet is in the public and therefore legal to record.

Quote from SmegFirk :the ability is there for anyone to use, you have made that point... permission was not given.

That can also be said the other way, you did not tell him he could not record people. Anyone that did not turn off the option to not be recorded did give anyone the permission to record them.

Quote from dekojester :It'll be in September starting area, mebbe later.

d

I don't really mind what day it is in September/October then. My concern was if it started in August that I would miss a race or two on weekends.

Quote from TFalke55 :The problem about your midweek idea: We've all got our own lifes midweeks means, that we from europe would do the races when we should be supposed to sleep... The Kyoto 500 practice sessions in the week before the race were something single, happening twice a year (if you count the 250 to it), so we can affort it. Doing such a thing every week or fortnights would mean we'd need to affort it every week. Speaking for myself, I cant guerantee to be able every week or fortnights for the weekends, midweeks is more stressfull, and therefore much more blocked...

Okay, are we looking at a winter series again, or is it going to be in the summer/fall?

Theres no point in another Fo8 oval league. Race LFSCART. XrgSCC is what we need !

Can we have the races at about 8 UTC on a weeknight? There are so many leagues on weekends, it will be hard not to conflict with another series. Also, I like the idea of using ParkWay Long and some of the LOTA layouts from the MRT CC cup, if LOTA will allow you to use them. FE3r as the only normal track race in the middle of the season would be good. When are you guys planning on starting?

Quote from PMD9409 :How about something that isn't wide open? That would make the racing better IMO. Even the XRG can get pretty exciting when alot of people know what they are doing.

The reason I don't like something wide open is that it points out LFS' biggest physics flaw, aero.

XRG would be awesome. Maybe a nationwide series to the XSCC?

Quote from PMD9409 :Like I know you had that talk with Kenneth...

Well, it seems you guys are just attacking Nolan. Since there was 10 of you at the start of the race, and only 3 finished (all having problems) but only 3 protests against one driver, who didn't cause all of those incidents. Then you have (on the stream) Buck getting into you guys quite a bit, but yet you don't protest him for any of it.

You are attacking one person, and aiming at that one person only, it's quite obvious and pretty ignorant. If you are going to spend the time to protest, then protest everyone equally, don't just take everything out on one person.

And with the FM guy running high, he was doing it random times lap after lap to try and get away from Nolan. Nolan said about it multiple times on vent, which Deko will hear in his recording.

We never talked about it, I just decided I didn't want to fight with someone over something that happened in a race I wasn't even in. I agree that they are attacking Nolan, and thats what I was trying to say in my post. You put it better then I did though.

Quote from danthebangerboy :That makes me confused.

The front of the car is not the front wheel.

Quote from evilpimp :Err the drivers head isnt at the same place as the rear wheel IIRC :P

And the front wheel is not the same place as the front of the car IIRC :P

Quote from Becky Rose :Just to clarify an unclear point from your posts, the most common is to get the front of the car in line with the drivers head on the grounds that this is the extent of peripheral vision (in RL anyway). Getting your nose infront of the rear wheels isnt sufficient overlap in most series and the outside car is perfectly entitled to slam the door shut on you. What's most common in oval racing however I do not know.

I said front WHEEL to rear WHEEL. Which would make the front of the car at the drivers head. We are agreeing with eachother!
